Any testing of the new IMR Powders?

I am interested in the newer powders recently introduced by IMR. Has any one tried working with IMR 4166, 4451 in 6BR? Thanks

One member of a club I shoot with tried 4166 in both .223 XC and .308 Palma loads with good success. Certainly accurate and with good velocities. The 'sticks' do not meter as well as Varget but does work as a competitive propellent.

tried IMR 4166 in dasher. up to 35.0 grains. settled on 33.5 grains to get velocity I wanted(3080fps). very accurate at 500 yds. ES at 19 fps. Was very careful of weighing for that. That will be my go to powder in my Dashers from here on in.

I also would be interested in imr 4166 comparisons with re 15 and Varget. Specifically load info as to weight of charge, bullet weight as well as into lands or jumping bullet. All in reference to 6 mm Dasher.
Thanks

Spent a lot of time with 4166 in a Dasher using 105 Bergers. At 32.8 hrs. I got the 3020fps I would get with 33.4 grs of Varget and a real nice ES of single digits. Played with the seating depth and played with tuner, and played and played.

Gave up. It shot good but not as good as Varget.

Also noted it seemed to be as dirty as Varget.

Had great groups at 100yds (.1>.2" 5 shot groups). Moved to 200yds and with 77gr Lapua HPFB bullets and 4166. I would consistently get 5/8" or better with 4 shots but would have 1 shot 3/8" away from the group. Varget uses about 1gr more to achieve the same velocity but the groups do not have a (flyer) and measure 5/8" or less. I have yet to test 104>107 gr bullets.

I've been using 4451 in my 243 AI with 105 grain Bergers, the load shoots lights out and fouling is very minimum.

I would rate IMR 4166 as very close to RL-15. It seems just a bit slower, as I would never attempt 35.0 grains of RL-15 in a 6 dasher. As in my experience with the two, it seems like you can go 1 grain of IMR 4166 over what you load RL-15 and get similar results.
Your results may vary.
Got the hair from a Jay Cutright post earlier this spring. Glad I tried it.

Imr 4166-6mm Dasher, single shot Savage action,30 inch Krieger barrel. 32.0 imr 4166 .010 off lands -.942 six shot group at 300 yards. So far so good.

Std 6BR 12tw CIP chamber, 75vmax 32.5g 4166 3300 fps good accuracy. 33.5g is 3400 fps a compressed load and too hot, 33.0g 3350 fps and out of accuracy node.

23 shots and turned barrel into a coal mine, seems dirty to me as well.
