any swindlehurst owners out there

and if so how do you like them

what is the pattern of the action is it the same as anything else out there for putting a new stock on one ?

and anything else you want to add

They are the smoothest operating rimfire I’ve ever shot. Never owned one but shot one in a two day match several years ago.

I own two. Love the "Manly" size bolt. I have owned a few other custom rifles on other custom actions. They don't compare to a Swindlehurst. There's a reason why they still sell for around $4500 if you can find one!

Hey Fellers, I personally don't own one but one of my best friends does and I have played with his some and have on purpose stayed away from it. Having successfully avoided the "22" disease I have sworn off of shooting it. It's a true work of art. I have bats, panda's, Pierce, etc and it's in it's own league, an amazing piece of machinery.... I own one of the actions as 1, I shot centerfire bench with Swindlehurst and 2, I knew the mfg. It is a fine action as mentioned above and do not think you will go wrong if you purchase one of the actions.

What scope rings are you using in this picture?.

Thanks
I don't really know. I bought it used in 2009 and the rings came with it. If I were to guess, Kelbly because they were manufactured there after Vic Swindlehurst designed and built the first ones.
Rebarreling it and having a custom stock made were done after I bought it.

I have had two and sold one here a few years ago. They don’t share the same screw spacing as anything else. And they also have different screw spacing on some of the early ones. They’re definitely easy to feed ammo. Probably never sell mine.

Back in 2001 I was gunsmithing full time and doing a lot of work for IR50/50 shooters. When the Kelbly’s announced they were going to produce the Swindlehurst action Jim Kelbly was kind enough to let me buy serial number 22. I built the rifle with a tight-bore (.215”/220”) Lilja 1-16” twist, a Turner 5-piece claro walnut BR stock and Ron Hoehn tuner. I had a great customer who kept after me to sell it. I finally did about a year or so later. It was a great rifle!
