Any suggetsions F-class front rest & Good nightforce retical

I'm new to F-open. I was wondering what would be a good starter front rest. A bench rest or a coaxial rest???
Thinking about a Nightforce 12-42x56 what would be a good reticle for mid-range & 1000 yds. Mildot or CH. 2??

myself and most of the guys i shoot with use the np-2dd reticle. that little dot works great. for a rest i would suggest a coax. maybe try out a caldwell fire control. you can always upgrade if you decide to stick with f-open. i use a farley. if the price doesn't scare you it's a very good rest. shadetree and seb rests are also popular.

I have 2 Nightforce BR's with the NP-2DD reticle, I think it's as good as it gets for F-Open.

I like a ch or target dot style reticle and do not prefer a joystick rest. I'm using a 21st century rest and it works much better for me than the various joystick rests I tried. YMMV.

The np2dd appears to be best for f class but you will always have to dial in your wind adjustments since there is no holdover marks. I have never shot f class before though.

Um, no. The scoring rings on the target serve as the holdover points, and most folks will not touch their windage unless they are holding quite a ways from center.

+1 on marks comment. all those 'hash mark' will cause 'confusion' in the 'heat of battle'. just hold off.

there is a requirement for 'hash marks' in tastical shooting, but in f-, not so much.
