That's a H-S Precision stock.

I just checked their site, appears they aren't available anymore.....bummer.

i wouldn't mind having one, but am late to the party by about 40 years and prolly shouldn't start now. if anyone has a beater in 223 my mind could be changed however.

Stopped at a buddies shop over the weekend, my Son was dropping off a new action and barrel. His safe door was open and I noticed a bolt handle sticking up from back on an upper shelf.

Ahhhh, it had a big hole milled in the knob. I bet I know what that is, dug it out and sure enough it was an old SSK built XP-100 in an HS Precision stock built when Phil Crowley was with JD. Lightened bolt/action to make weight and I think a 13" barrel, looked just like my old one. Mine was in 338 CJMK, buddies was 300 Savage.

Pretty cool to see one pop up occasionally.

Thinking back to the day a young kid showed up at the range with his Grandpa.
I was shooting my .221 Fireball XP.
Asked Grandpa if the kid could shoot my XP? Sure!!
Sat him down, showed him how to sight thru the LER scope.
When it went BANG and ting on the 400 yards gong, to this day I bet that kid still has that grin on his face. It's the little things that count.
