Any recommendations on stripping matte finish from kelbly tings?

I bought kelbly rings from Sinclair and they have the silver matte finish, when I ordered them I thought they where going to be bare aluminum. I'm going to just keep them but thought about trying to strip and polish to match my action, any recommendations?

Get one of those hard pink gum erasers, and wrap a small piece of 800 wet&dry sandpaper around it and proceed to polish each flat and surface, I also use 1200 wet &dry to finish. This is a pita but they will shine up pretty nice, I finish the with a light buff on a muslin wheel and red fine buffing compound.
