Any one know the H&R mod. 370 ?

Hi , I am relitavly new to the site , I find it very interesting reading the results of the men who shoot long range competitions in there personal preferences in equipment and so on . Thanks for such a great source of information and resources .
A long time ago , when I first got into long range , I had a mentor who coached me many days all the way to 1000 yds . Shooting his equipment while saving for my first rifle , that ended up being a H&R 370 ultra metalist in 243 . I was very surprised at the capabilities of the 243 round , even then the 6 was trying to tell me something .
Does any one know the rifle that I mentioned ? Is there any for sale ? What is the cost ? Just poking around to see if it would be possible to find out if I could afford one to remind me of my roots .?

The 370's were built on Mauser actions from 1968 until 1973 according to the 31st addition of Fjestad's Blue Book. The value of one in 100% at that time was a shade over $500. I saw one in a gun store in Lynchburg VA in .243 in 1970. Very nice looking rifle.

It may have been one of the first custom production rifles , FN actions , Douglas barrels, shilen triggers and Fajen stocks . Mine shot bug holes with the serria match kings at 200 . Loved that gun !
