Thank you all for your service, I was enlisted but once was assigned to Army OCS, learned a lot from the Officers there. Taught, them Land Nav and Squad/Platoon tactics but most important Leadership. Duty, Honor, Country.
But an officer on duty knows no one -- to be partial is to dishonor both himself and the object of his ill-advised favor. What will be thought of him who exacts of his friends that which disgraces him? Look at him who winks at and overlooks offenses in one, which he causes to be punished in another, and contrast him with the inflexible soldier who does his duty faithfully, notwithstanding it occasionally wars with his private feelings. The conduct of one will be venerated and emulated, the other detested as a satire upon soldiership and honor.

I started out as a full E-1 Airman Recruit in 1967, retired in 2004 as an O-5. Went from working on R2800-52W's to commanding a Logistics Group. Being a O paid better than enlisted, but I had a better time as a mechanic. Less headaches.

I’m a CPT / 03, 12A, Army Engineer

Did 8 active and now working on year number 3 in the reserves. Going to retire as an 05 hopefully. My 04 boards just met in March, waiting on the results.
