I have been processing brass for years for members here. Mainly 223 and 300 Whisper/Blackout.

I roll-size the brass and then run it through my Dillon 1100. Deprime, swage primer crimp, FL resize and trim to 1.745 (or whatever is requested) and then tumble clean again.

I can chamfer and deburr on my Henderson, but its just more time.

I set headspace with several different gauges. EGW, Dillon, Lyman and Sheridan slotted. I also check it in a couple different CLE Service Rifle uppers. I basically bump the shoulder about 2-3 thou.

DJ will not process fired brass~! II know because I sent him 268 once fired 6MM-PPC cases, and he called to tell me he can't do anything with once fired cases.

Could I ask you a question. I set my headspace for my 223 brass at 1.556 usally with my calipers and Hornady headspace comparators and anvil stop on it. I have just a little supply of once fired brass that only measures 1.544 this way, is that too much bump back to be worried about to load and shoot this brass again? This is for a AR.

I’ll check again, but I don’t think so. It was some softer federal brass, not federal lake city for sure. Bad flash holes and burrs too.

Had my numbers a little wrong and corrected it. Anyway headspace was around 13 thousandth shorter than normal.
