Any interest in IBS Factory Class?

We have been shooting it for several years at Hawks Ridge with good turnouts. I would say the three most used rifles are Savages, Brownings, and Coopers.

We have been shooting a Factory Class at our Tomball Club Matches for over ten years.

The rule is, no “Factory Target Rifles”. Rifles may have bedding improved but no other modifications are allowed.

We have a Modified Class for Rifle with Custom Barrels, triggers, stocks, etc that shooters can enter.

surprisingly, the participation is quite small compared to what we call the Benchrest Class, which is open to any legal firearm.

Here in Pa at the popular groundhog matches, factory class is pretty popular . Different rules everywhere but mostly those with flat bottem stocks , single shot, or 6br and 6ppc are often separated out or put with custom guns. Some ranges seeing lots of tactical style rifles showing up. Great, there is a place for all. As far as brand in factory, Savage seems to dominate overall. Most common rules allow bedding and replacement triggers with working safety. More clubs becoming aware factory triggers with kitchen table gunsmithing are often not safe.
