Tactical and Factory Class Nationals April 24and 25

April 24 and 25 Red White and Blue Benchrest in Tennille Ga will be hosting the IBS Factory and Tactical gun Nationals. As both of these classes are a trial run in IBS we wanted to give them both a weekend at the range by them selves . There will be cash prizes to the winners depending on number of shooters in each class . Entry fee will be 100.00 per class . The format will be 8 targets at 600 yards on Saturday and 3 targets at 1000 on Sunday per class . We will have food for lunch both days so if you are planning on coming please pm or call me so I can have a general idea of how much food to get.

INTERNATIONAL BENCHREST SHOOTERS
TACTICAL CLASS RULES
The intent and purpose of the TACTICAL CLASS is to promote inclusion within the IBS of another shooting discipline. While our initial goal was to create a set of rules that promoted the creation of the most accurate benchrest rifles possible, we wish to welcome those additional disciplines wishing to expand their knowledge, testing and friendly competition within. The 1000 and 600 yard Tactical Class is designed to help shooters that choose to use Tactical style rifles in a bench rest style match therefore realizing the absolute accuracy potential of this type rifle. The Tactical Class will be under IBS Guidance and 2021 will begin a trial or test run period of one year.
Tactical Class Rules are as follows:
All shooters must comply with all applicable rules associated with IBS relays and safety concerns.
Bolt action and Semi-Automatic rifles will be allowed. Semi-Automatics rifles must employ “Empty Chamber Flags” when not involved in an active relay.
All rifles must be fully functioning and capable of feeding loaded ammunition to the barrel/action from a magazine. No single shot rifles allowed.
All rifles may be fired in a single shot fashion. Caliber may not exceed .4 in barrel groove diameter.
Muzzle Brakes and Suppressors are allowed. (Range Owners may choose to prohibit rearward discharging muzzle brakes for safety reasons)
A bipod or sand bags may be used to support the front end of the rifle. Mechanical front rest will be allowed. Competitors using bipods must have rubber feet or protect the benches from damage. A sand bag may support the rear end of the rifle providing it does not restrict the rearward movement of the rifle during recoil.
All equipment used in the Tactical Class is subject to inspection by referees at any time during a match. Range Officials reserve the right to not allow participation due to any safety concerns.
All Matches, whether 600 yard or 1000 will follow their “Light Gun Course of Fire” as written in the current LR Rule Book.
All Ranges will employ the respective 600 and 1000 yard IBS SOY systems as described in the current LR Rule Book and current SOY Programs. For 600 and 1000 yard competition, in the year 2021only, at the end of the year, only the smallest single target Group and the highest single target Score will be recognized as a Record. In 600 yard competition, at the end of the year, only the smallest Group Agg and the highest Score Agg Record will be recognized as a Record. All other IBS rules pertaining to Records will be adhered to.

Here is the rules for factory class .

FACTORY CLASS RULES FOR 600 AND 1000 YARD COMPETITION

Factory Class Rules are as follows:
Firearms must be produced from a manufacturer that produces at least 5,000 units annually. No custom shop rifles will be allowed.
Rifles may contain only products produced from the original manufacturer of the Firearm. (Exceptions to this rule include pillars, epoxies, muzzle brakes that will not exhaust in a rearward direction and optical equipment)
Factory Triggers may be adjusted, Actions may be pillar and/or epoxy bedded, Rifle barrels may be ported, lapped and/or free floated. The rechambering of a factory barrel is not allowed and factory markings must remain visible.
Caliber may not exceed .4 in barrel groove diameter.
An “accuracy asset” may be temporarily employed on the forearm of a rifle.
A bipod, sand bags and/or a mechanical front rest that complies with current IBS LR rules may be used to support the front end of a rifle. A sand bag may support the rear end of the rifle providing it does not restrict the rearward movement of the rifle during recoil.
Semi-Automatics rifles are allowed and must employ an “Empty Chamber Flag” when not included in an active relay. All Rifles must be fired as a single shot and comply with the above rules.
All equipment used in the Factory Class is subject to inspection by referees at any time during a match. Range officials reserve the right to not allow participation due to any safety concerns.
The course of fire will be typical to the current, Light Gun Course of Fire as described in the current IBS LR Rule Book for both 600 yard and 1000 yard as required. Ranges have the option of shooting Factory Class concurrently with other Relays.
All ranges have the option of employing the respective 600 and 1000 yard IBS SOY system available.
The IBS LR committee will establish an independent SOY record keeping system. Records will be verified according to present IBS LR rules.

Thank You in Advance

Hello everyone hope everyone is doing good. I have had some calls concerning the weather for Saturday which looks bad . Our plan is right now to keep up with the forecast and make a decision Wednesday evening. We are concerned about the road conditions coming in on the dirt portion of the entrance due to a lot of timber being cut in the area the roads are passable but rough and if we get the amount of rain forecast it will make for some sure tricky conditions on the roads .
If we have to cancel this weekend we will definitely reschedule the factory and tactical classes are growing and we want to help that as much as possible. Thanks for supporting The IBS and RWB .
David

Due to the forecast of rain and amounts we have decided to postpone the Factory and Tactical Nationals this weekend at Red White and Blue. We want this event to be fun and relaxing for the two new groups of shooters and if the forecast is right it won’t be either of them . We will look through and see what dates we have a available and let everyone know soon if what our plans are.

thank You for Understanding
David

Thanks David for letting guys know. I will make some calls to guys I know that had planned on making the trip. Sunday is supposed to be nice but Saturday has a LOT of rain forecasted.

David
I totally understand your intent and Mother Nature kind of messed things up for, Ya but on the positive side this might make for a better Tactical Nationals later in the season after people has shot a little bit.
