Any firsthand reviews of the weaver t-series xr 36 scopes?

I'm wondering if anyone has had a chance to put one of the new weaver xr-36 scopes through the paces yet. I somewhat interested in one for my 223 midrange F-TR rifle I'm putting together. Any input would be great. Thanks,
Mason

Mason I had a standard T36 and it was a good scope. But all too often I could not use it at 300 yards due to mirage. Sold it and moved on.

I agree 100%! I see guy's that go first class building their rifles then cheap out on one of the most important parts of their build... GOOD GLASS!

I looked through a standard t-36 at the Southwest Nationals last week, and was pretty impressed. Even at 100 yds the mirage was not so bad as to make it difficult to see the target. I was just curious how the the new XR series is working out.

I thought weaver bought all of those back and dont plan on selling anymore? The T series was a good way to get into br cheap but usually got upgraded at first opportunity

Recently bought the XR 36. Put it on a rimfire BR bolt action gun and sighted it in. Had to move the reticle a long way to get it to the POI after the 1st shot. The next adjustment resulted in no reticle movement but POI changed. Was no longer able to see reticle movement after that. Sent it back to Midway who refunded my $. Won't be going that route again.

That's the first negative thing I heard about that scope. I have 2 friends that I shoot score with who bought one and they both love them. It only proves you can get a lemon. I had a friend who bought a 2015 NF comp last year and it screwed up on him in the first match he took it to. Shit happens.
