Any cheap NRA Memberships available?

Phil

Gold $$ Contributor
I`ve got a buddy looking to get a NRA Membership, Lifetime maybe?

He is looking for any discount that might be currently available.

In the past they ran the $300.00 deal, but I told him that`s looong gone.

Thanks in advance,

Phil.

FORUM BOSS: Here is a $500.00 Life Membership deal. Regular price is $1500.00

I had been renewing every year. Last December I got an offer for $300 for life, I took it!

Yup.......

He might end up doing something similar if there aren`t any Lifetime deals going on.....

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you looking for a "cheap as you can get it membership" so that you don't have to give the NRA any more money than necessary? I still donate as much as I can to the NRA and they know it cause they send me donation request about twice a month.

Guess I'm a little thick, just don't follow....................or maybe someone started this thread to amuse themselves.

There's no max buddy. I've seen $100k invitationals. They offer a special on life regularly, it's reasonable to ask.

I received a email from one of our Club's board members yesterday. Thru the club sponsors, they are offering Life Memberships for $500 currently.

I'm not sure how you find out who are sponsors in your area though.

Riesel,

Guaranteed I didn`t start this thread to amuse myself, frequently things I type don`t come across as planned.

I have a buddy that is looking for a membership, he would like to get a lifetime, and is looking to see if there are any deals going on at this time....

Maybe my initial wording of the question probably needs some work, it wouldn`t be the first time, but the end result is the same...one more NRA member....

One can buy a Life Membership and pay in installments. As they say (frequently), dues alone are not enough.
We are in the fight for our shooting lives right now. One Supreme Court Justice can make the difference.

They want money. Period!

Tell your friend to call them and offer a fixed amount of money for a lifetime membership. Worst case scenario, they decline the offer. No different than buying a car.

Thanks for your comment Phil. We are in a battle over our second amendment rights and those that want to trample all over it are terribly misguided.
I don't always agree with the NRA and how they operate (Reference the endorsement of Harry Reid some years back because he let a range open in Nevada). The NRA are guided by a single issue and the rest of the countries problems, ie economy, terrorist, jobs, overspending, entitlement programs etc
take a back seat. They do, however, stand up to the Government and push a conservative candidate who usually is a Second Amendment supporter.
I fear that someday it may come down to our military and police to gather up all the guns and that will be a sad day indeed, not sure how those soldiers
feel about disarming their country. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I am a Patron level member, and paid full price for every step.

I didn't look for deals to "advance" my membership level, nor do I wear Patron patches or anything else flaunting my membership. I routinely pass on whatever "gift" is offered for upgrading or for sending donations (I sure don't need another jacket, range bag, or knife).

I did it because the NRA is the premier defender of our Second Amendment rights, and I know that my (full price) dues went towards that fight.

I also make it a point to buy an annual membership, every year, for somebody. May be a buddy, may be a fellow shooter at the club. I know that more often than not, those people went on to renew their own membership, adding dues and membership numbers, without simply trying to find the cheapest route to say they are a member and become a drag on resources.

Being a member of the NRA isn't about what you can get out of it. It's not like going to the store, laying down your money, and walking out with something physically in your hand. If your reduced dues don't even pay for what it costs to carry you as a member, what's the point?

So, paying a reduced fee makes a guy less then a full member?? Get off your high horse!! Guys look to pay what they can afford.
