ANSCHUTZ 1415 how good

So I am looking at this rifle will I be happy with how it shoots. I have a cz457 varmint that shoots vwey well how will the compare thanks.

Depends. Really no way to tell until you try it out, and test various brands and lots of ammo IMO. I have a CZ 457 VPT and it competes, and wins at times, against the likes of Anschutz and Vudoos. Very tight competition, but it holds it's own nicely.

The Anschutz 1415 is a lightweight hunting model and if hunting with it, you cannot go wrong. All Anschutz's are known for their accuracy.

But, For serious competition, it would be seriously lacking. With a lightweight barrel, around a 3lb trigger and a hunting style stock, it is not built for competition. Also you might have a heart attack when you see the price of the Anschutz magazines!

I own 2 Savage-Anschutz 64 Match rifles (50+ years old) and a Anschutz 64P Pistol (10" barrel) and all 3 are capable of under 1/2 inch at 50 Yards.

The CZ457 has the advantage of being upgradeable without the work of a gunsmith though. Just a hint though, if you do buy it and it is vertically stringing, 90% of the time, if you replace the striker spring it will fix it.

It is built on their 64 action which is the sporter action. The 54 action is the Anschutz "Match" action, which was the class of the field in it's day but it probably can't keep up with custom actions.

I have some of each and they serve my purpose(s).

My CZ455 with an MTR match barrel and bedded varmint stock outshoots my Anschutz 1416 HB model. Not by a lot, but it does shoot better. I'd say it's the luck of the draw, but if I were you, I would try buying an MTR match chamber barrel first.
