Another tuner target

The tuner is attached to a F-Open 6.5 CM and like I said it’s about a year since I started using it. The instruction I received was find center and start there. I set it, used that barrel up and then had 31” Bartlien chambered , set the tuner back to center and 18 was still doing well for me. I thought maybe I could get a couple more X’s out it and decided to do the this test.

Just was not sure of which setting to use. That’s where you all come in. Come game day, though, with 3 relays to try different settings, I’m going to try 2 out of the 4 settings, then next get together, try two more out of the four and Maybe I prove Speedy wrong and have the tuner figured out.

But I doubt it, when a Speedy talks, everyone shuts up and listens.

Again thank you all for your input. A very excellent website.

Let me add my tuner target for your review. The way I set the tuner up is after installation is to find the middle of the tuner which is 18. From there, 6 marks left and 8 marks right are what I’m interested in.

Setting 18 has been good!

I Setup the target at a 100 yards and fired 5 sighters using the 18 setting, then move to the 12 setting and begin the sequence of 12 to 26 firing two rounds at each point. There was a slight breeze right to left.

17,19,21, and 26 are considered one hole. The 20 mark, I made a sighting error and put one round back into the 19. Meh!

What is the magic number?
Setting 17
POI is on POA

Not everyone..at least not on tuners. He can choose to listen or talk. That's up to Speedy..and i love him but it just is what it is. At some point, we gotta decide if we buy tuners based upon what experienced tuner users say, or someone with limited tuner experience, but is a hof shooter. They are not the same. Guarantee ya if Speedy came here for a day, he'd have a different attitude about cf tuners. He's told me that he loves my rf tuner. Thing is, they both work the same way..Same principle for both.
Biggest difference is a rf bullet is in the bbl longer. Its not magic or art...or any of that crap.

Ok after some thought, 26 if it holds for 5, cold bore 5 shot groups. Ok, it's the hunter/other past profession in me, a rifle that doesn't shoot on target cold bore is like being married to a woman that not only is a virgin but vows to stay that way! ;);)

My first thought was 15!
Yea, according to most opinions you look for a stable vertical and get in the middle of that string instead of dwelling on one particular group. Patterns matter more than any one single tight group. The idea being the tune will last longer in a change by picking that particular setting within a pattern. I'm still learning about tuners with testing in different conditions.
