My shooting interests, for now, have moved away from 600/1000 BR to shooting steel. From my hunting shack I have steel set out from 300 yards to a mile. I already shoot a 6-47L (105-108), a 300 WBY (215 and 230), and a 338 EDGE (300). I am looking to fill the gap between the 6 and 300. I am not looking for a bbl burner...I am looking for good brass quality/accuracy. The bbl will go on my Dasher Light gun.... BAT "M" 1.47 Multiflat duel port single shot restocked with ????.
I am trying to choose a caliber. My thoughts are a "dasherized" 6.5-47L with the 140 Hybrid or a straight 284 WIN and the 180/195's. I was going to go with a 7-300 WBY tube now that the 195's are out, but that is baisicly the same as the 300 WBY with a little less recoil. This will be more of my mid range (600 - 1200 yards) gun.
Thanks for your imput,
Tod
