Another availabilty thread

Haven't been shooting for the last 4 months. we moved from south Florida to upstate SC, 3 miles from the NC border and have been too busy with the new home. love it here, btw.

anyway, i want to start shooting again ( i shoot rifle only, benchrest style out to 300 yds) so i joined a club up here with a 100 yd to 300 yd rifle range.

i am well aware of the primer and powder shortage, but i was not aware that Berger bullets and many Sierras are almost unobtanium. when did this happen and what is Berger and Sierra saying about it? i do have some Bart's and have found some more of those ( i shoot .222, .slow twist .223. 6PPC, 6BR, and 30 BR) but it is crazy low inventory. this whole situation is very depressing, just like the overall situation in our country right now.

Elections have consequences. The natives are restless. If you have ever seen the movie Jeremiah Johnson the part where he and Bear claws are preparing their bedding for the night by putting hot coals under the dirt to warm the dirt they were sleeping on.Jeremiah did not put down enough dirt and woke up in the middle of night steaming hot. Bear claws let him make that mistake so he learned from it he says “didn’t put enough dirt down ....saw it right off” Jeremiah did not put enough dirt down. From now on always remember to put enough dirt down..... ammunition and reloading components.

We are starting to see tiny, tiny glimmers of potential for the greed to have slowed down and some manufacturers are starting to make a very slight headway with the with replenishment. Patience will win out at the end of all of this clamoring for components.

I am seeing quite a few more offers to trade components in the Classified Forum. Take a look to see if there are any components you can use by simply making a trade. There are also some components for sale as well.

Best of Luck in your abode!:)

Hi Jeff. Good to see you back here. It sure is weird having just about everything in short supply. Powder seems to be making a comeback but bullets have disappeared and seems like brass is also in short supply not to mention primers. Glad you're enjoying your new place.

These guys have the Berger Columns and so does Powder Valley:

Thanks much for that! i am gonna have to ration out my shooting sessions i guess, probably like most everyone else has been doing for the last 4 months. i have got a pretty decent supply of 6mm 64 to 68 gr bullets, Berger or Barts, but running low on the 6mm 80gr Berger Varmit bullets, which as you know, are awesome. if anyone has some they would like to sell, pm please.

I am loving the new place. springtime in the Appalachians is awesome. also, the people here are real nice. i don't miss the big city attitudes of south Florida for sure.
