Anniversary!

On this day in 1961 2 young kids two weeks out of high school were married in Wichita Falls, Texas. Butch and Charlotte Johnson began their 64 year journey. It started in Burkburnett, Texas and with stopping places in Dallas, Garland, Anchorage, Ak, Garland, Rowlett, and the last 25 years in Poetry, Texas.
We have 3 wonderful sons, 9 grandchildren, and 4 of the prettiest great grand daughters that anybody could ask for.
My sweetheart has been with me all the way with her love and support. You couldn't find a better mother, grandmother, or great grandmother. The kids always call Nannie when they have a problem, be it about their health, every day problems, or how to cook something.
I've truly been blessed!

That's great! I tried to enlist as my Dad and most of my Family were career Military. At this time they would take no married people. I tried again in 1963 and they wouldn't take us that were married and also had a dependent. So much for that.

Happy Anniversary Butch. Absolutely a blessing. My wife and I jumped into marriage very early too. I was 18 and she was 15 back in 1973. (52 years) We both had already worked for several years at farm labor mostly and was not afraid of that. We have been blessed with two of the finest boys anyone could ask for and our family has increased by 5 grand kids and 4 great grands as of today. Marriage is what you make of it thru all the ups and downs life throws out there. I never doubted my wife and trust her with everything as she has lived a life that deserves exactly that.
