And for my next trick....

Very nice work. Skill, patience and dedication definitely show.
Now, my only question; why offset rings? Is there some advantage I am too dumb to understand?

This was my situation a few years ago - started to get a cataract in my right eye that impacted normal BR scope use; I had to cock my head over to the right to look through my left eye while shooting. The offset rings helped me until I was able to get my cataracts removed. Shot this way for nearly two years.

Nice work! I too am working on a stock for a cz457. It currently sits in an mdt chassis but I glued a laminate of hardwood spine and paulownia body.
All shaping has been done free hand.
I noticed you have fixed in a recoil lug- my action on the chassis has no recoil lug fitted. Accuracy has been fantastic- several sub moa groups at 50yds with testing. So i fitted a tuner and got it shooting nice and consistent. Figured a stock for it was the next step to wring the most of the factory barrel. I’m going to recess the back of the tang area into the bedding, so will do away with the recoil lug and just allow the bedding to fill the groove where the recoil lug will sit. Still have timber to remove to get it sitting down where it needs to be, plus have to mill out for trigger and magazine.IMG_7546.jpeg
