You would have a smoothbore if you tried to firelap all the flaws out of that barrel!

I had a 12fv in .223 that threw 55 grain bullets into the target sideways. Sent it back twice to Savage and they said there was noting wrong with the barrel.
For me, it was worth it. I learned a lot by sectioning this barrel. I was tired of throwing time and money at it. I have no experience with the firelapping process, although I'm aware of it. Maybe next time.
