I love my powder measures for pistol and 223My dream is to fill my chargemaster with tannerite and blow that spawn of satan into oblivion!!
I've gone to throwing charges in my Harrell's and cutting my blood pressure level and time charging cases dramatically.
Exactly, my V1 with the Ingenuity trickler system never misses a beat if you want to only go for a tenth… The A&D 120i weighs to .02 of a grain… = one granule of varget…I love my powder measures for pistol and 223
I bit the bullet an got a V3, worth every penny, I had the Hornandy auto charge that was more hassle than the RCBS before that.
With a tuned CM, it is very possible to sneak into intended charge, right to the kernel.Changing the way the powder falls into the scale has no affect on the resolution of the scale.
It eliminates overthrows by avoiding clumping and allows the scale to register the weight more accurately when only 1 or 2 kernels is hitting the pan at a time and at a steady rate, vs clumps of 4-5+ kernels at various intervals.Am I missing something.
The RCBS Chargemasters are only as accurate as the scale.

You are partially correct. The scale is limited in measuring a given weight by the display resolution. However, the internal electronics and bridge are capable of greater resolution. The dispenser on the other hand in the 1500 and some others has issues with throwing very small weights of powder. It limits the trickle resolution. It creates overthrows. You can also get under throws when the trickling throws a heavy charge when first starting the trickle because the scale overshoots setpoint and actual weight doesn't settle back before the control locks on the settling weight.Am I missing something.

Try a 5/16 brass fitting from an auto parts store. One time deal. Tommy McWhich insert are you folks using? I tried the straw trick, which helped with certain powders but seemed to hurt with others. I also tried a cutoff shoulder and neck from a .243 case too. I might go back to that for the time being. I did monkey with the settings to slow it down some. It's always the last "bump" that takes it over. Is there a setting to increase time between "bumps". I think that might help a lot.
