AMP Seating Press - Insights

...and for that kind of test to actually *mean* anything, you'd have to figure out how to do enough runs to normalize for ambient conditions, shooter performance (varies day to day, over the day, etc.) Good luck with that.
A blinded test in a tunnel might eliminate ambient conditions.

Some of these shooters who can shoot 200 with mid teen X count at 1000 consistent in good conditions know their load and rifle very very well. So it would be fairly easy I think to do this test early morning and have confidence in a couple sessions to verify if one can see differences in the loaded ammo on target or reduce vertical or eliminate some flyers. If not then I’d say this tool is not worth the high $$

I’ve watched every Amp press video on YouTube and have yet to see a demonstration of seating force correlation to group size. It doesn’t seem to correlate to SD either.

Its a fair question.

Sure, neck tension is a quantifiable force that can be measured, but with chamber pressures of 55 - 60,000 PSI... its kinda like a Mack truck hitting a fly.

Yes, and trying to determine the range of insect size that affects the speed and course of the truck.
