AMP Annealer Setting?

Finally received my AMP annealer. My Lapua brass is turned to .0115". The manual calls for a setting of 43 for .012" brass and 40 for .011" brass. I was thinking of setting the machine to anneal on 41 or possibly 42. Any suggestions from you experts?

In a situation like that, I have been advised by Alex that it is okay to spilt the difference. Within general bands, their settings are systematic and progressive. Good luck!

What ever the program number is, to really see what is going on with the the temp of your case, it would be a good idea to paint one case with Tempilaq. Where the color change stops is where you have annealed (in this case 750 degrees. Tempilaq)

Alex had recommended against this, if in doubt, send your cases in for testing.

I think the gist of his response was that while you can certainly use tempilaq, if you have already made the investment into the AMP, why not take advantage of their free service to guarantee your results. You should tempilaq to find your program, then send Alex some brass and see if he comes back with the same feedback.
