Ammo Box

OK Fellas:

I shot the new 6BR for the first time today and got some Barrel break in and load development done. I realized that I do not have a short stubby Ammo Box for this Lil case. I like 100 or 50 round cases. Preferably 100 since I shoot NRA prone matches and most are 3 twenty shot matches with sighters for a total of 66 rounds. I have 150 peices of Norma Brass. I sent some cases to Lynwood for a sizing die. so that should be hear soon I hope.
What are you using and where did you get it.

Thank You

J and J has decent ammo boxes. They have the 100s. I've also got some of the Franklin 50 ct. boxes.

The Franklins are my favorite 'cause I like the way they latch shut. But, you're right, it's nice to set out the box of 100 for a match.

Midway USA has a box that is what they claim for the 22br and it is perfect for the 6mmbr. The one they say is for the 6mmbr is for the 308. I like them. They are a little cheap but work very well.

Thanks guys'

I have the MTM comming from Sinclair.

The J&J boxes look like they will work too. I think I will get a couple of 100 rounders from them also. Heck they are just few dollers. Ive spent money alot worse things then ammo box that I do not like.

Richard: congrats on a great shooting season and a new record!!!!!

Keep the ideas comming on the ammo boxes, there may be more folks looking into this besides me.

I to just use the MTM RS-S-50. With the addition of some 1/4" to 3/8" thick foam squares pushed to the bottom of each hole and a 1/8" thick piece glued to the lid. The foam risers in the bottom makes it a lot easier to get the brass in and out and the lid foam helps keep things from rattling around during transport. the foam thickness of course can vary to match the OAL. I do this for both my 6Dasher and 22BR and I will for my 22Dasher when I get it done.

use the MM by putting the tray in upper position then putting the cartridges in the tray base down. no need for syrofoam.

You push a small foam square into each hole for each round???? Why not just get a shorter box? is there something special about this? I'm in the process of building my first 6br, and I need to know if I should start stuffing boxes now.

I just went ahead and go the MTM RS-S-50 and it works perfectly. No fuss or Muss. .104 free bore and 105's fit good.

No worries
