My .284 Winchester ammo, which I make from expanded 6.5/284 Lapua cases and 180-gr Hybrid bullets, are just shy of 3.25" long. The standard .284 Win cartridge nominal COAL is 2.80", and ammo storage boxes for the standard round are too shallow for my ammo; ditto for the MTM Case-Gard Medium Rifle R-100 I have for the .308 ammo boxes.
I ordered three MTM R100-10 30/06 boxes, but they also were too shallow, so I returned them. Another brand, Barry's, for .270-30/06, is deep enough, but the holes are too tight and the .284 rounds don't fit.
Do you know of a 100-round storage box that will accept a 3.25" long .284 cartridge?
Thanks!
