Ammo box for .284 Win?

My .284 Winchester ammo, which I make from expanded 6.5/284 Lapua cases and 180-gr Hybrid bullets, are just shy of 3.25" long. The standard .284 Win cartridge nominal COAL is 2.80", and ammo storage boxes for the standard round are too shallow for my ammo; ditto for the MTM Case-Gard Medium Rifle R-100 I have for the .308 ammo boxes.

I ordered three MTM R100-10 30/06 boxes, but they also were too shallow, so I returned them. Another brand, Barry's, for .270-30/06, is deep enough, but the holes are too tight and the .284 rounds don't fit.

Do you know of a 100-round storage box that will accept a 3.25" long .284 cartridge?

Thanks!

Not sure why your R100 boxes do not work. Mine work and i still put from between the bullet nose and lid for tighter fit and no cartridge movement. Not quite sure what my OAL is but 180 vlds are loaded pretty long.

I do believe that MTM must have a box that fits, so I'll look for a dealer who stocks the boxes so I can select one.

The R-100's are what I have for the 308, and they are way too shallow. I was hoping that the R-100-10 would have fit, and although they were a bit deeper, they still did not work.

Here are the cartridges with the R-100.

All you need to do is rotate the tray and it will work just fine
Rick, and Steve -

Yes, somehow I missed that feature of the adjustable tray. Anyway, I found the (same!) cases on sale at Cabela's and bought them - they work fine.

Thanks!
