American Sniper

Read the book. It is great! It has me excited to watch this film to see how much details they leave out of it.

I have never heard anyone say "that was better then the book". Maybe read the book afterword.

I just ordered the book, I hope it doesn't ruin the flick for me. Eastwood films are usually pretty good.

Fight Club. Blade Runner.

But back on topic, I'm excited to see this movie.

He was a great Sailor not soldier!

I went to Intel school with him and he was definitely a great person and fun to be around.

None taken! It was meant more as a joking jab than serious. I consider us all the same. We all serve the same person. We just wear different uniforms.

watrefwlr,
Typically they refer to Sailors for Navy and Soliders for Army.

I meant that vise versa. How much detail they leave out of the movie. I agree that books are always a lot better because it's told from their own perspective. I hope it's detailed and realistic like the movie "The Lone Survivor".

Did anybody read the ensuing Youtube comments about that trailer? Just gets me sick to know how many cowardly America haters and arab/muslim sympathesizers we have living right here in the US for whom our soldiers have to risk life and limb so these moles can use our schools while spewing their hatred of this country right here within our borders. I live in a really stupid nation that's been ultimately destroyed by Democrats and leftists. Even the Liberal Brits know when they've had enough of these damn headcutters living amongst their population!

I was reading He became one of US on the set of the A team, after shootting the M-4 he had to have one :) ;D 8)

I finished reading Chris' book several months before he was killed. Was just finishing breakfast before the start of a practical rifle match when one of the other shooters walked in with the news of Chris' murder. The news hit so hard that if felt almost like someone had punched me right in the gut. Would've really enjoyed meeting him, having the opportunity to show him a few of the rifles I've built, maybe even having the chance to let him shoot some of them.

Read Brandon Webb's "The Red Circle" about 6 months ago, which gave more perspective on both Chris & Marcus. To any & all of the guys who've been there/done that in serving our country, my hat's off to you guys. You have my utmost respect, admiration, and gratitude. I'll go see the movie, no matter what a bunch of liberal critics have to say about it.

soldier=Army, Marine=Marine, Sailor=Navy. great book, can't wait to see the movie! what a great American!!! this goes to Mrs. Kyle as well!!!
