Am i the only one in this situation?

You are have already joined a club for reloading addiction.
Buy the looks of your profile you joined your addiction group just over 5 years ago.
Just take it in and enjoy.

Anyone get a great deal on a set of dies for which you have no rifle? And then you gotta get the rifle to go with the dies, the scope and bipod to go with the rifle, and the bullets and powder to go with the primers?

Surely I’m not the only one.

Looking through my reloading components stash, I have alot of stuff, enough for years, maybe my life and i am in my 30s, depending how much i shoot in the future. But i am constantly buying a few hundred of this bullet or a few pounds of this new super awesome powder to try and many times dont follow through with testing it amd never really “settle” on a load to stockpile a large quantity of components.
I feel like i have reloaders A.D.D. Is anyone else here affected by this horrible disease? Is there a support group?
Lol. Where do you live? And do you have any CCI 450’s? And R-15 powder?
brownells screwed me today by accepting my order of a brick of 450’s and then promptly cancelled my order today.

Some times when I enter my gun room and head to the loading bench, I feel like Golem from Lord of the Rings. With focused attention I think "My Precious" as I look at the presses and supplies. Probably in need of help but "It's not It's Business!"

I bought a 40 S&W Beretta PX Storm because I’d collected a few thousand cases of range pick ups. Turned out to be a great shooter, too! I like the cartridge a lot now so when I saw a Glock 35 for sale on this forum, I bought it.
I checked the “drawer” the other day and I’m down to 800 rounds of 40, so I’m in the process of loading another 700 rounds. That will use up the last Small Pistol primers I have, so I’m getting a little antsy.

Unlike a few friends, I’m not a gun collector, I’m a shooter, if a rifle or pistol doesn’t perform and hold my interest, it’s gone.

Right now my three busiest guns are my 1984 Remington 1100 12 Ga, although it’s taken a lot of pheasants over the years, it’s got several 10’s of thousands of clay targets, will never sell it.
My Remington 40-X 6 Dasher in an Eliseo Stock, this is my competition gun, anywhere from 100 to 1K. It hammers.
H&K USP Compact in 9mm, my carry, steel dinging, so slick, wasn’t cheap compared to a lot of 9mm’s out there, but you pay for quality.

What group do we join? I find myself looking at what I have and thinking will I ever shoot that rifle and then find things to buy for it. I am now thinking get enough to last for my 2 sons who like shooting and hunting. Am I a hoarder? Maybe but I want to be sure I and them will be able to do what we like for years to come.

My wife still has more shoes than I have firearms....
If it keeps her happy your OK.

I think after all of these shortages and trends I'm going in the opposite direction of getting better with this "hoarding" issue. I promised myself that if I see it and it's reasonable it's an automatic purchase from here out.

Since the shortage kicked in, I have cut way down on buying stuff just to experiment. I sold off or traded away most of the bullets that i only had 100s of and single pounds of powder. At this point I’m only replacing what I use.

About 40 years ago, my gunsmith told me, "One of these days, you'll settle down and load just .308." I'm almost there.
Varget is good in the 308, 6 dasher, and 223,..one powder for all...but I'm not there yet. Got to experiment, and see if the new powders are hype, or actually better...

I have this problem. Lots of reminents.....a few bullets left in a box of 100, an ounce or 2 left in a 1# can of powder.....it goes on....except for primers, I do use them up completely. I keep thinking, I'll use this stuff to make fowlers, but I never do.

It's all a matter of perspective. I've been into boats in the past. I have friends who are into vacation homes. Worst of all I have friends who are into airplanes. Some of these people are into all of the above and have the budget to allow for those addictions but even at that, as the budget grows so to do the cost of the addictions. Having a large budget does not mean that you are not living paycheck to paycheck servicing your addictions.

Now that I'm living on a fixed income I have taken control of my addictions. At least that is what I tell my wife. She knows I lie to myself.

while I’ve had reloading equipment for over 5 years, I didn’t reload until 2 years ago. I’m always lookin good powder, primers, bullets, etc. my wife pointed out to me this week how much stuff I have, and according to her it’s a waste of money. Since she’s not a shooter, she’ll never understand.

I'm sure someone somewhere is creating a pill for our affliction(s).
Just keep watching late night TV and let us know ASAP!!!

Not sure on the support group.....BUT I hear there's a BOOSTER shot for that.
