Alpha/Peterson Dasher brass and .272 neck

I bought some Alpha brass for my dasher and I'm not too fond of it. I got heavy extractor swipes on it with starting loads for the first two firings, after that I could go ahead and step on the gas like a dasher should. But when new, the primer pockets were super tight, and now after four loads, they are getting on the loose side. I don't think it will last like other good brass will.
Now I use Peterson brass in my 6BR and love it. My gun shoots better with it than with Lapua, and it holds up well.

I use this JGS reamer with .269 neck....absolutely no problems. See pics! New brass .266, fired .267, loaded with 105 Gugnir .2685
10 firings and this brass works great! After first firing I trimmed to same length. I do not neck turn or anneal. My load is 32.6 Var at 2960-2965!

I'm guessing that is not Peterson brass.

No sir, its Alpha. For some reason its not letting me attach the pic of the reamer. The reamer print is 6 Dasher RD if anyone needs it. I gave them the specs and they built the reamer. I'm not familiar with Peterson brass. The Alpha has well for me. I've also shot Lapua 6Dasher.... I shoot Lapua in all other calibers. This my first shot at Alpha and its been good brass. The reamer is .145 FB.........hope this helps

So your loaded round is .2685" and your chamber is .269"? That's not much clearance, is it?

For what its worth measuring a reamer can be off a bit but this is what calipers show. Also I checked brass with micrometer and got same measurements.

I chambered my daughters 6BR with a .271 neck reamer and use Peterson brass in it with zero problems. Its an F-Class gun with no ejector so we dont worry about cases hitting the ground like guys/girls shooting PRS matches. We have not turned necks on any of her brass and the loaded round is .268 so we have an easy .003 clearance and expansion. She just turned 12 and shot enough matches this year to qualify for high master at mid range. Shes on her third firing of the brass so I cannot attest to the longevity of it yet but as of right now they are not showing any signs of failure. Very tight primer pockets, minimal case stretch, very good speed and very accurate.

Just got done chambering a 6 dasher .272 no turn neck. When using the Peterson brass it will be necessary to turn the necks down to .013 for proper fit. I shot a 300/400 match this weekend and it shot extremely well.

I worked up to this load for fire forming during a match so work up cautiously in your own rifle.
