+1^^^I learned on this forum to always use the same company's expander as
your turner. My least favorite chore in all of shooting. Except cleaning guns.
Getting the mandrel and cutting tool too hot will cause this problem of galling with any brass as I found out with Lapua and Norma. So I purchased this Ergo tool from K&M, and I slowed down my pace on how fast I ran cases through the turning tool.

It acts as a heat sink and makes holding that cutting tool much easier on the hands. Money well spent on that. I also use the K&M expander mandrel and have never had any issues with galling with it as long as I keep the expander and cutting mandrel lubed.
My method is running 5-10 cases through the lubed expander, then turn them, then repeat the process and try to not get in a hurry and run too fast on the drill while turning. This way, I think reduces the possibility of spring back causing issues too. JME FWIW. WD
