Alpha 6BRA brass release.

I also used Alpha’s 6BRA reamer and it has been a pretty accurate.

At $380.00 each, they better be accurate! That's double what JGS is charging and they're higher than the rest. I guess I'm supposed to be impressed with the addition of a couple of zeros behind the decimal before a string smaller numbers... I think I'll call my reamer maker and discuss this with him...

Good to see companies like this coming out with nice calibres but where the hell is 300WSM brass???

If you look at the various lineups, no one has the WSM size case head. I imagine the tooling costs are pretty large to get that going. Tooling up for a 6BRA, when you've got the 6 Dasher, was probably almost trivial.

I just received a couple hundred pieces. Loaded up 31.1 and 31.3 of Varget for an initial test with 109 Hybrids. After reading Alex's post sounds like 31.3 is going to be hot. The last thing I want to do is ruin $380 after 2 firings. This brass has only been tumbled and chamfered. I will report back.

My twice fired Alpha 6BRA brass is about 1.555" oal.

Is that with no prior trimming?

Just received Alpha BRA, one thing I can say is mine look better than the brass in the pic's from Alpha, the shoulders are sharp on mine, measured 20, OAL on 19 was 1.600-one @1.554
The necks measured .0130 on 18.
Great box...three layers of foam.
Can't wait for better weather too give'm a try.

Yes, its what they based it on. The stuff I got needed to be bumped in my die to chamber. It was a touch long. A good thing in my opinion. I prefer to fit the brass rather than have it stretch.

So I have a copy of your #1 chamber drawing from JGS and it has a .268 neck. Should I assume I have to neck turn to fit.? What other case modifications have to be made besides this and bumping the shoulders.?
