Have any of you experianced ill affects from the larger primer hole?
A tendency to pierce thin cup primers. . . like CCI-400's.Have any of you experianced ill affects from the larger primer hole?
I swagged some Lapua Palma brass to a larger size using a .068" Lee decapping pin just to see if there might be a noticeable difference. Looking at my data, it does appear that my SD's have improved on average over what I was getting with the normal Lapua SRP's. But I haven't been able to notice any difference on my targets. One thing for sure, decapping is a lot easier without having to change a thin decapping pin.Does anyone see a difference with 6mm GT brass, Lapua vs. Alpha primer size holes. Accuracy? I know the reasons Alpha says, but in real life?

I think I will just use Magnum primers and not worry about a larger primer hole. The situation with the 6.5 Creedmoor Lapua brass was different because it is made in both large and small primer sizes so it was easy to enlarge the primer hole. And it holds more powder. But like you said, accuracy was not an issue.I swagged some Lapua Palma brass to a larger size using a .068" Lee decapping pin just to see if there might be a noticeable difference.
