Which Primer for 6BR?

New to reloading for the 6BR. Experianced reloader.
Lawton barrel and action
Mostly 200 and 300 yd.
I have Berger bullets mostly lighter wieghts, Varget, and h380. A little V135, I think.
I would like to try each primer and see what works best, but given the shortage, probably not an option.
Thoughts as to:
CCI?
Tulas?
Federal?
Remington?
At the ranges I poropose to shoot, will I see a difference between BR and regular small rifle?
Thanks for your thoughts.

I had best results with 80 grain Match/Varmint Bergers, Varget,Lapua brass

and CCI 450 primers. These components are like Unobtanium.

700 Remington Trued Action , 26" 1-8 twist Hart Barrel ,Jewell trigger.

Regards,

Steve

Started using the 450s when the BR-4 gtot so expensive and hard to find. I can't see any difference in SD or velocity. I have been using H-322 and 8208 with the lighter bullets and Varget with the heavier bullets. I agree with above comments. 450s are hard to beat.....George

I heard a lot of guys were shooting 6BR around here at the shorter ranges you mentioned, and since I needed a new barrel on my paper puncher I opted for a 1/14 so I could shoot the very high quality custom made match bullets available. (60 to 68 gr.) I tried it. I liked it. FC 205GMs work best for me and everyone I know shooting the same bullet weights with N-135 or CFE223 powder loads.

Same here, I have two 1-14s & both shoot best with N135 and Federal 205GMs/Lapua brass. I shoot Berger 68s & Precision Ballistics 68s.

Shooting an 8 twist and heavy bullets Fed. 205m gave me SD of 2 and almost no vertical at 300 yards. I was also shooting Norma 203B powder, best I have shot in my gun.

Everything above is "spot on"!

XBR or RL-15 with the lighter pills and 450's
If I'm pushing something 88-105's, I swear by Varget, and 450's. But I have had great success with 205M's as well.

Probably not much at the distances you indicate, but I'd try and test if possible to know for sure. Remember, each rifle is different with a particular load and unless you test, you won't REALLY know how YOUR PARTICULAR RIFLE will shoot. I shoot strictly 100 yds and use either Federal or CCI, Bart's 68 Gr Ultra FB's being pushed by VVN133. Good luck and have fun in your new endeavor.

Alex

I have had good luck with the remington 7.5's and cci 450's. Both seem to give me the similar amount of accuracy with the remingtons maybe edging slightly ahead but darn close.
