Almost fully recovered from recent medical procedure.

Thank you to all who have tolerated my tardiness for the last 9 "dayz"!! Since undergoing a, "floater removal" procedure, I have been hampered by vision issues. To insure against a detached retina, the ophthalmologist "put a air bubble" in the eye, which has proven interesting! It is taking longer than expected to disappear!

Eventually the bubble will be absorbed - it is now small enough that its obscures only about the bottom 20% of the field-of-view, and above the bubble, the distance vision is floater free and CLEAR! To avoid damaging the eye (recoil), I did a little rim-fire shootin' this afternoon and for the first time in three years, the reticles were single DOTs!! :D This may turn out to be as good as getting the cataracts fixed. I didn't expect the rheostat to be noticeably dialed-up, but THAT is a bonus!!

After today, I will be able to resume "normal" operations . . .o_O RG

I get regular shots in my right eye for macular degeneration. The last shot I got, the doc also accidentally injected a couple of small air bubbles. They showed up as very round black spots in my vision. Doc said dont worry and they did absorb in about 36 hours. They were a little disconcerting to begin with.

I lived with serious floaters for years. Told many times that there was nothing that could be done. I moved to Florida and got a new eye doctor who said, why don’t you have those removed. Anyway, I had the surgery and am extremely happy. Good luck with your recovery.

Isn't getting old a bitch!!! My last exam showed fluid M D!!! I will be getting started with those same shots!!! Has the fluid bulge regressed??? If so, who many shots did it take???

Randy, I have a fear of slowly losing my eyesight. I have macular degeneration of the dry type. My Mother eventually lost her sight from it. Mine has stayed stable, but who knows! Take care of yourself young man.

Yes. It has regressed a great deal. You have to look really close to see any fluid pocket. There is still some distortion to the macula and some permanent damage to the vision in my eye. Thank the Lord, i can see quite well enough to shoot and read. I am almost three years into treatment. I started seeing some improvement probably after six months or so. I think it will never be completely back as before but it certainly is liveable it this point. I will have to have shots for the rest of my life. But they are worth it.
