I am running low (5 pounds left) on RL-15. I have been doing some research about the new Alliant Power Pro powders. Specifically, the Power Pro 2000. I know it has a burn rate similar to RL-15, Varget and just about sits on top of VV N540. I believe it may "fit the bill" of a powder to replace RL-15 if I run out as I doubt we will see it on shelves any time soon. However, there are a few things I can't seem to find out and I was wondering if anyone knows about it.. 1.) Is it at least reasonably temperature stable? 2.) Is it one of these "made for AR Style" rifles type powder? And finally 3.) Is it a clean burning or a dirty burning powder like RL-15? If you have any information, it would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks for your help..
