Alliant powder prices

As someone who has been looking on powder valley for powders I have seen prices on alliant powder go up some powders $5-7 over the past few months. Is there a price max anyone sees where too much is too much? I’m just curious as 10x, 7, ar comp and 15.5 are now listed at 39.75/lb. excluding 15.5 the others a few months back were around 34/lb. just wondering thoughts on where the price is too much.

Yeah I’m just noting an observation. We’ve all talked about prices getting higher and dropping off hopefully, I just hope they don’t get too high to where the “norm” is close to 40/lb. then Again inflation and everything else has gone up substantially so it is what it is and we have to adjust or as jelenko said pay what your willing to.

They banned imported Russian ammo. Just wake up one day and read that it’s not gonna be imported effective immediately.

Almost all of our powder is imported……..
$40/lb might be high in a few years or could be a fond memory.

I wonder how much powder is on the several dozen container
ships anchored off the Philly and New York ports ?? There is
about 60 ships anchored off California. Then there is the problem
of moving that freight off the docks and moving it inland. I think
Union Pacific ran out of trackage as did CSX and others.

Anyone else notice that mainly one pounders show up, and no
8 pounders at the much lower price ??

I've been assuming it's either the powder supplier [like Hodgdon] or the distributor [like Powder Valley] who's trying make it so more people can have some.

As much as I don't like all the high prices, I would pay it for a 8lb. jug of what I need (8208). That would last me about 2 seasons and by that time I would hope things would at least level out.
With any luck the SCOUS will put an end to the second amendment assault this year and finally settle all the BS we all go through, loosening things up a little, but they can't stop importation restrictions. That needs to be done with your votes.
