Yeah, I got a few pounds of misc. powders a few days ago. I am pretty darn happy now!!

Upcoming shortages of items across the board have been warned about for sometime, including gunpowder. We've seen it over the past couple of years, yet many were/are unprepared. The warning bells were going off. Some evidently didn't heed them.

If you're unprepared for this, what are you going to do if things go really bad in America? It can happen. I think it's going to. I fully expect SHTF, and have been preparing for it on all levels for more than a couple of years. A great many of us have.

Things in America are going to get far worse before they get better. It didn't take long for shelves to become devoid of boxed ammunition a few years ago, the same can easily happen again. I expect it to.

The sky isn't falling, YET, but I do see major cracks in it.

Excellent synopsis of what this all encompasses. EVERYBODY should carefully read this. Just between the wars in Israel and Ukraine, demand has skyrocketed. Then add in the growth of demand for all other products using this created the perfect storm.

Simple capitalism. When it’s cheaper to have something produced overseas, this is what happens because it’s no longer profitable to produce it here. Then, as the price for those goods increases, and making them here becomes profitable again, that will cause American companies to re-evaluate things.

The only thing that changes this paradigm is when the government gives subsidies, artificially altering the profitability of making a product. Personally, I really don’t think a single program or subsidy the government created has been successful. They certainly won’t subsidize lead or Nitrocellulose production, at least not for the benefit of civilians.

Either way, we all pay more in the end. Sometimes the truth hurts.

Bush Sr, not only Reagans VP, but also head of the CIA spoke of this when hen during his 1st State of the Union Speech, spoke of forming a new world order. Then began the dismantling of American manufacturing and the implementation of decades long "regulations: by the EPA/ATF and other govt agencies.

This insanity will only stop when it either wins, and they are not going to ever give up, or we stop them. For us old road dogs old enough to remember the anti war protests and especially the 68 Democratic Convention, you know what I mean.

I hope that SCOTUS deals a series of death blows to Chevron Deference and the unconstitutional moves by the ATF. It may be the only legal solution left to us, but we already know the laws aren't gonna stop them.

I honestly fear we are just one assassination away from all hell breaking loose.

I'm afraid even a relatively simple event can kick us into turmoil. Remember a few years ago when trucks quit running (don't recall the reason) and learned many people and most grocery stores only have a few days worth of food; wide scale vandalism would result in no time. An internet attack on infrastructure is all it takes, shooting substations, etc. All of this has already been practiced.

I would guess that there is still a bit of it in the pipeline. Once that empties, pretty sure its going to be very hard to find it anywhere. Couple shops i go to, they have quite a bit of it, and shipments are still coming in, until THAT pipe runs dry.

For years it was much more expensive the anything else. Nobody I knew
used it. Something changed in the markets, political scenes, and covid
thrown in the mix. Popular powders went missing or doubled in price.
All of a sudden, Vhitavouri prices looked cheap and it was available since
previous stocks were not selling. It looks good for now but doubt it will
last for another year or less with Ukraine and all......

How are Yinz doing over there for primers ??

I have no experience or knowledge with Vhitavouri. What do you suggest I try out?
