all time great cartridges ?

This thread was supposed to be about the "ALL TIME" great cartridges... It has everything under the sun on it.. Just about every cartridge has it's merits.. But many are not ALL TIME, as in a long time, and should not be on this list. We have degenerated this list to what everyone likes, not ALL TIME greats..

After that I would assume a list would follow. Lol

For me the all time great cartridges in America would be;

Not saying there is not any more great cartridges because I love them all mostly. They are just not all time great. And Europe is a completely different story.

Hi hogpatrol, thanks for posting the Redridder link/poster. This was my first hunting rifle! I was 5 yrs old and my dad just brought it home for me. It didn't take long before I told him it didn't have enough power to kill squirrels, and rabbits.
He took it to work and when I got it back it would definitely kill them "IF" you hit them in the head at close range.

So now I consider it a Redridder Ai with 0 deg shoulder and 22 inch throat, LOL.

Three great ones, the Swift, 219 Donaldson Wasp, 300 Weatherby (which spawned a lot of good wildcats). What about the 7mm Rem Mag. Hell the Wasp brought us to short range benchrest and the 300 Wby brought us to 1000 Yd benchrest.

And the Swift got you into the 400+ yards varmint hunting w/o using your 30-06 or other big game rifle.
