I`ve read all the news BS stories and not one has answered my question. Why did he have the gun pointed at someone not in a scene being filmed or being set up? He shot two people that were not actors. He should be charged with at least involuntary manslaughter. I hope more info comes out ,but I would bet this gets real quiet real quick. Jeff

He should be charged with negligent homicide, a much more serious charge that involuntary manslaughter, but if he is charged at all is any bodies guess. With that said, on his day of reckoning he will have to answer for this.

Just heard that it was a single gunshot that passed through the young lady's chest then striking the second victim.
And I agree with you...why was Baldwin pointing a gun at a non-actor, in the first place? How is that a job related accident?

Just something to think about. Union prop masters are supposed
to be trained and certified. The news is reporting the film is in some
sort of financial problems. and were hiring non union people to cut
costs. Not to read anything into this but, the Prop Master is the
first in line to be hung.

Baldwin is responsible. He pointed the gun at somebody and pulled the trigger. He did not know the status of the gun and broke all the rules of firearm safety. He is guilty of, at minimum, negligent homicide.

When I was very young I was taught that you never point a gun at any thing that you don't intend to shoot. Also, treat every gun like it was loaded. If you point a gun at someone and pull the trigger well...........

Rule #1--always assume the gun is loaded. #2--Open the breech & check the chamber to make sure the gun is empty. #3--Never point a gun at somebody unless you intend to shoot them. Even if you have checked to see if it's loaded, even if you know for certain that the chambered round is a blank.

If I were the DA the charge would be manslaughter for Baldwin, accessory before the fact for the prop guy responsible for having a loaded gun on the set.,

Just goes to show that a criminal act or carelessness with a firearm, even a prop gun with a blank cartridge( what they call live round) can be deadly, when fire by a person, even a anti-gun, hollywood actor, like Baldwin. He needs to be charge like any common citizen would be, even when they accidently cause the death of someone, by improper handling of a firearm.
But you watch, in his case and it be hollywood, they will white wash it and sweep it under the carpet, but still toot gun confiscation, instead of a human being the cause.

I doubt if the screaming liberal commie bastard Baldwin will be charged with any misdoing. I speculate it will boil down to what the protocall is in place for handeling firearms on the set. If the procedure is, armorer or whoom ever is in charge of firearms hands you a firearm stating it is unloaded, you accept that as gosphil. It's possible that in an attempt by the movie industry to lessen the chance of an unloaded firearm becoming a loaded firearm, the rule is actors are not to open / question the announced state of the firearm handed to them. Ludicrist by our standards, but it may be the way it went down.

It's still Hollywood. Lots of films are made in places outside of the studios. The same amount of responsibility applies. Sure, Baldwin is a hotheaded flashhole, but I think sabotage is at play here, and I highly doubt the real saboteur will every be charged. The left will do what they do best. Eat one of their own, "prop master" and spend the rest of the time spinning the "accident" into Baldwin being the victim, and the gun being the problem, and if anyone doesn't like their conclusions they must be one of those deplorable racists.
