Alaska rifle club LR regional July 18th, 2026

Good afternoon,

Alaska rifle club will be hosting a LR regional match on July 18th, 2026 at the snowshoe gun club in Kenai, Alaska. This is a great opportunity to shoot a LR match and partake in the world famous Kenai River salmon run also halibut charters not far from Kenai as well. Homer is just down the road if one wanted to go fishing out of Homer. Anyhow there is lots to do down in Kenai in the summer. I’m still working on the match program and will get it posted once I get it done. Hope to see some of you up here for the LR regional.

The silvers will be in, in September by the end of September on the big su here in matsu valley the silver run is all but over with. If you want to catch pinks until your arm falls off September is a good time as well but again by end of September that run is done. Now down on the Kenai they catch silvers clear into October. My bud will hopefully chime in as well on the fishing in September. But for a sure thing and catching fish July is the time granted things are spendier due to it being tourist season.
