2026 Alaska LR state championship

Good afternoon from Alaska! We got our date locked in with the upper susitna shooters for our state lr championship. The match will be September 26th, 2026. Also we are breaking from the normal trend of NRA sanctioned match. This match will be a CMP sanctioned LR championship match. This range in September is very good far as conditions go and fall colors are in full display. This is the time to travel to Alaska tourist season is over for the most part. When I get home this evening will post the match program. Will periodically bump it to the top. Hope to see some of you in September.

Also you do not have to be a state resident to win the state LR championship. If folks are wondering why we went CMP route. CMP recognizes AR tactical for LR and they get to shoot on the regular LR target face. It’s a way to draw more shooters who might not want to invest money in a FTR/FO rifle. But can shoot LR with an AR and be competitive.

Also we do a 600yd match on Fort Richardson couple days before this match, it’s our fall equinox match. Next year it will be either on the 24th or 25th of September.
