Aim small hit small lesson learned today

I'm the type of person that will admit failure and learn from it. Today I was shooting at pasties I picked up at a local shooting store for 2.00...there were hundreds on the roll really bright orange 1 inch square so I figured they would do great on a paper plate. My groups looked OK but I knew they were better before.....anyway looking at those pasties at 40 power at 300 yards with fine crosshairs wasn't smart. I switched to a Shoot and see target that was left behind that has the tiny diamonds and my groups were back to normal. I know the issue is me but trying to find center on the pasties every time was maybe the problem

I agree with the philosophy. Aim small, hit small is a good rule. But trying to use it on an F Class bullseye target at over 500 yards is pretty difficult, especially after a dozen pasters have covered the X ring. ;D

Actually....this just means you are human.

ALL colors, "bleed" clarity at the point of color change. Some colors are worse for most people than others.

Add magnification on top of that...and the problem is worse.

Black and white.....with the right lighting conditions for your eyes...are the ticket.

Ya I like the squares. As long as you can keep them lined out you have a lot of aiming points. Heresy last one

I made these targets for load development. The "X" is pretty small and allows precise aiming. Shifting the impact point up a bit keeps it clear.
