Again!

Another 4 dogs shot this Sunday at a ranch that called and said get them out of the cattle lots.
This is mine, rancher shot 1 and 2 others taken by us, but way to messed up for a "decent" picture.
This one was dropped with my 6x45, 65g vmax at 208 yards right behind the shoulder, see red dot.
We had to stalk everyone of them in the cattle lots as not one would answer to a call or bark to draw them out.
We had counted 7 mixed in with the cattle, not an easy place to drop one unless you are 100% sure you do not hit a cow.
I staked this one for 45min, crawling & walking next to a cow to get closer in 2 areas with cattle & calves to finally drop it.
It trotted out & up out of a drainage ditch and stood nice & broadside for my shot after it saw my pal walking about 300 yards on the hill over seeing the lots stalking another coyote. Day light was just about gone when I shot.

thanks for sharing your adventure.

How big are these lots with the cattle in them?

They look about 800+ yards by 300 yards, by guesstimating, maybe bigger and depends on what cattle he has in them to much bigger lots as he rotates the cows & calves through them, then of course the free range areas.

I can do that since I have a son up in Post Falls & go up there every October!

Well done! What's with not hitting the Cattle, you don't like beef? ;D
I love beef.....but I'd hate to have to explain my stupidity of doing so if its not ready for market of course.

Excellent work 5spd!
I love shooting those damn calf killers. Sleep well tonight my friend, we're all fighting a losing battle here in La, with them.
Last week I shot three. Saturday, I saw three more, in the next pasture over... Yesterday, found a newbie's head an a front hoof. I got a vengeance!

I want to see more fur flying!
