Aftermarket Triggers

New to the forum guys...so this may be covered ground.

I tried out the Savage Accu-trigger at my local gun store yesterday...Wow. I really like the feel, break & adjustability. I have a Rem 700,which I love), is there a drop-in aftermarket trigger with similar features to Accu-trigger that I can get for my 700?

Anyone have a link to the Acu-trigger i would like an after market trigger for my Barnard they may make something.
Unless someone knows of a good after market trigger for the Barnard Action.

Hi you should be able to fit a Jewell trigger to the barnard the worst thing you would have to do is mill the action to take a trigger hanger but if you want an aftermarket trigger the Jewell is the only option.

I have one of those Kelby triggers on a 6br BAT and don't have a lot of trigger time on it but so far it's a keeper, and real easy to no screw up adjust to different pull weights.
So far it's as good as any of my Jewells, but only time can tell if it's in the same class...

There has been quite a bit of talk about the Kelby trigger. A few people claim it is far better than the Jewell? I personally don't see how it can be improved upon but who knows? I certainly can't see paying $235 for it as opposed to $155 for the Jewell. As the previous poster said, time will tell if its that much better than the Jewell.

I have several Jewell triggers and several Rifle Basix triggers and a Sharp Shooter Supply on a Savage. These are on super accurate live varmint rigs. Jewell, in my opinion, is the cream of the crop. Rifle basix makes a damned good varmint trigger and all around replacement. One word of caution; if you buy a Jewell everything else will be second.

Recently I had Neil Jones work over a Remington 700 to 1 pound pull and a Remington 600 trigger to 2 pounds pull and both are exceptional with no creep or tight spots. The cost was $65.00 each and took about 2 weeks.

I have several Jewell triggers, but I didn't want to spend $375.00 for triggers for my p-dog gun or my .308 truck gun.

Neil is a sponser on this board ...give him call or e-mail and I bet you will be satisfied with his work for a varmint or hunting rifle.

It doesn't get better than Jewel. I've tried the Shilen, and Kelbly, they're good, but not as good and the case of the kelbly, way over priced.

Any competent gunsmith can get a stock Remington trigger down to less than 2lbs.

For about the same money, as having the stock one "smithed" you can buy a rifle basix "kit" which will adjust from around 8oz to 2lbs.

Anyone who thinks a Jewell is the end-all-be-all of triggers has not tried an Anschutz two-stage.

Sorry. I have both, along with a Geissele AR trigger) Jewell is not even in the same universe.

Now you just had to spoil my day. This makes me put an Anchutz two-stage on my wish list. What model rifles are they available on?

Just about any Anschutz target rifle based on the Model 52 action.

You can also buy the trigger itself and an adapter to install it on any Winchester or Remington rifle or any rifle that accepts Remington triggers.
