After market Savage stocks

Wow. 10 weeks and it took 13 months. I'm not that patient. Not when I can drive across town and pick up an HS from Midway. I was on their website last night and found they have one in stock that will fit my action. It's not my ideal choice but better that waiting a year to shoot my new rifle. The barrel is scheduled to be in first part of January so I'll give them until their ETA, then I will start to get upset.

Maybe that is why they don't except phone calls.

Have dealt a few times with SSS and their customer service was pathetic. Have been using Kevin Rayhill at Stockade the last couple of years for stocks and gunsmithing work. Products are top notch, quoted times are very accurate and customer service is stellar. I called back one time with a complaint. It turned out the mistake was actually mine but Kevin still offered to make the changes at no charge. I didn't make him do that but hey, he offered.

Or you could call Bill Shehane and order a Thumbhole Tracker. It'll cost you more money but you'll get a better stock and if Bill says 12 weeks it'll be there early.
