I can't imagine anything taking a high shoulder shot from a heavyweight Berger bullet and not dropping in it's tracks. Save for maybe elephants, water buffalo, hippos, and other extremely large dangerous game.
When an adult male Eland can get upwards of 2000 lbs, I think any shot placed in the shoulder with any bullet would be a very poor choice to say the least. Not something you would want to risk on such a large animal IMO
