Advice needed -- what will firing short brass do to my barrel?

Gentlemen,
I need advice regarding brass lengths in a 7mm SAUM. I have been using 7mm SAUM brass until now but thought I would resize some 300 SAUM and turn the necks for correct thickness and uniformity. However, when I resize the 300 brass, it comes up about .025 short of spec for 7mm. I think the picture may explain better than my words.

Anyway, I know I can fire and FL resize a couple of times and "grow" it to spec. But my question is, what will firing brass that short do to my barrel? This is really a nice gun and I don't want to screw it up.

Your comments will be appreciated.

BTW, my 6xc brass is made from winchester 22-250 and it has NEVER gotten long enough to trim, but have never had an issue with a carbon ring either. But, doesnt mean you shouldnt keep an eye on it.

Assuming you clean it once in a blue moon... nothing.

I've seen instances of way too many .38 Special fired in a .357 chamber on a cheap Rossi revolver that eventually flame-cut ahead of the .38 case mouth... .357 kind of wedged in there when fired. But that thing had been fired, by all accounts, tens of thousands of times. While a 7mm short monster (magnum) undoubtedly has higher pressure, temperature, etc. I really, really really think you'll wear out the barrel before you ever need to worry about anything like that.

Gentlemen,
The consensus seems to be to load and shoot. So that I will do. Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and experience.

May cause a carbon ring where neck brass would have been

So make sure you scrub the chamber really well and use an electric drill if you are REALLY concerned. Otherwise, as others have said, there shouldn't be any issues so go shoot that brass. It'll be fine.

Make sure you check loaded round neck diameter to make sure it will clear your chamber neck. Necking brass down results in thicker neck walls.

Thank you for the reminder. My purpose in necking down 300 brass was to be able to turn the necks for consistency. I measured before and after sizing them down. They grew .003" in thickness.
