And to your credit, your process yields great results. I held out for years, but now I feel good about my choice, but I'm sure not getting rid of my beam anytime soon.

Where the biggest improvement was, was for where the change weight was small. 22K Hornet specifically, where the charge is in the 10 gr range, small variations make big differences.

There’s been far to many world records set with beam scales to say there not accurate or repeatable!…I throw with a rcbs 1500 which is horrible but works for my purposes then trickle on a GD 503 but for years used a tuned 10/10 and it worked fine and it’s still in my range box. In my loading room I have a tuned 5/10 and M5 I frequently use them to verify my fancy very expensive sartorius gd503 is still functioning correctly because if clean the balance doesn’t lie but electronics can

Yeah, gravity is very dependable. It's the variable friction that gives me problems.

Be sure to zero your scale to the checkweights

Wait...this I did not know. So I should for example, set the scale to weigh 10 grains, then place a 10 grain weight on the scale, then zero the scale?
