Adjustable Reamer Stop

Yes, the reamer slides through and the stop is attached to the reamer with a set screw. This way the stop has no affect on where the reamer goes, it won’t influence its path, it’s just a stop. This also allows you to use Manson, JGS, PTG, Bald Eagle, etc reamer holders and not just one make or model. I tried to make this a one size fits all, but without compromising on usability or the precision of the reamer. If you have the JGS holder, then I’m sure their adjustable stop is very well made. My idea for this was to be used with many different reamer holders, but it should work with the JGS as well if you wanted to go that route.

I have some plans to do that. I currently have several projects going on in life that I want to finish up then I’ll be open to make more things. I’d be open to ideas/suggestions. If I get enough interest I’ll design, program, and make a batch if demand is there

Thank you for those who have expressed interest. I have the material ordered and I am planning on making a batch of 25-30 of these reamer stops this weekend. They will be made of 416 stainless. I spent the day doing the lathe operations on the reamer stops. I’ll end up with 28 if everything continues smoothly. Here’s some pictures of today’s work. Next will be on to the mill(s) for engraving and drilling and tapping for the set screws. Thanks again for everyone who’s showed interest in these.
