Additive for case cleaning?

Hi guys,
I was at work today and the guys were using crushed corn cob media to blast walls with..it is untreated and I thought this would be perfect for tumbling my brass in..plus its free..
I have read that alot of guys dump NU-finish car wax in it and there good to go..
Any other things I might have around the house that my work better..
What have you tried, what works the best and how do you add it?
Thanks

Use an ammonia-free brass polish. There are a couple available for firearm cases specifically. Most of the ones in the supermarket contain ammonia which is NOT good for a brass pressure vessel. Midway, Brownells, Dillon all have one form or another.

Nu finish 1 to 2 capfuls.

Do I turn on tumbler, run, and slowly dump it in..then let it run for about an hr. Be fore adding cases..does it spread out or clump up like a cat turd in a litter box..lol..sorry I couldn't think of any other way of explaining it..

Contains no chemicals that negitively effects brass. Works just like the car polishes other guys use but also contains citric acid which is used in brass cleaning solutions... Also doesn't leave that waxy build up like nu-finish. Best additive I have used to date.

If you want to polish the brass all pretty and shiny dump in some Turtle Wax polishing compound. Let it run overnight and it looks like you buffed it .

I'm a big fan on adding nothing to corn cob. No additives = no problems and the brass comes out shiny if you left it tumble long enough.

AMEN! Over the years, I've tried both methods...dry and additive added. In the end, it may take a little long using the dry method, but adding any additive just ruined the corn cob or walnut chips twice as fast and left a film on the brass. I haven't used an additive in over three years and my brass comes out just as clean and shinny after 4-6 hrs hrs worth of tumbling.
