Adding weight

I need to add some weight to 2 stocks. One is a Choate tactical stock with aluminum bedding block running thru it, the other is lamitnated wood with pillar bedding.

I have some old lead bullets that could do the trick, just not sure how to add them to the synthetic stock. Guess I could drill some holes in the laminate stock and pour in the lead from there.,not molten)
Anybody ever added weight by way of the bipod rail?

Thanks
Tony

I've weighted a bunch of stocks using different things including molten lead. What's worked best is lead shot. Pour some shot into the cavity, then add a little casting resin and stir it all up, then a little more shot and a little more resin. Keep doing that til the cavity is full. Use just enough resin to fill the gaps and everything is coated to where it all stays together and doesn't rattle.

Thanks for all the help.

In the interest of keeping the gun balanced, how would you add weight to the forend? Would you hog out some wood under the barrel and put it there? Drill some holes?
Better ideas?

I just hog out the wood under the barrel when I need to add weight on a wood stock, I use a 3/4' end mill to do the hogging....
